1. All bookings are direct with us the owners Jane and Jonathan Snodgrass. We live in The (Old) Cheese Factory next door. We try to meet guests personally on arrival. If this is not possible we will arrange for a neighbour or friend to stand in.
2. Weeks are normally 1500 hours Saturday to 1000 hours Saturday.
We ask guests to arrive no earlier than 1500 hours and depart no later than 1000 hours to allow sufficient time for the house to be cleaned and prepared. If, however, you do need to arrive or depart at other times please do ask.
3. The charge per week for self catering is from £275 to £495 and is all inclusive. Cheques should be made payable to "Cheese Factory Cottages". We make no extra charge for a dog. (We ask you to keep your dog downstairs only (a stair gate is provided) and off the furniture).
4. Bookings of two or more weeks will be given a discount of 5%.
5. Short breaks may be available:
5 days @ 7/7 weekly rate
However, short breaks would normally be within one week of Saturday to Saturday. Short breaks overlapping two normal weeks would usually only be considered in low season.
6. A deposit of £100 per week or part week followed by our confirmation will secure the booking. The balance is to be paid on arrival. In the event of a cancellation or non arrival, the deposit is not refundable, unless the period is re-booked, when the deposit will be returned less any expenses arising.
7. Exclusive use of The Manager's House for Bed and Breakfast may be available by arrangement. However, short B&B bookings would only be available in low season. Charges would typically be £25 pppn for a party of 4, £35 pppn for a party of two or £45 for one. Other meals and packed lunches may be available by request eg for single nights for walkers and cyclists.
8. In the event of the property not being available for any reason beyond our control, eg serious damage, we will give as much notice as possible and endeavour to find alternative accommodation locally of an equivalent and acceptable standard and price. If this is not possible or agreeable any deposit will be returned at the earliest possible time.
9. Please note that The Manager’s House is a No Smoking property.
